When rebooting a teammate, either go to an angle where you know you will not be shot from, since the Van is indestructible. If that isn't possible, build around the Van to give yourself cover while rebooting. Most players know what the Reboot Van does and where it came from. This was one of the innovations of Apex Legends, which has now become the standard across all Battle Royales. To reboot players, a living teammate must first find and collect their reboot card, then take it to a Reboot Van.

Reboot Van

Since the Pistol was Vaulted in Chapter 2 Season 6 and the Revolver was unvaulted in the same Season. Rebooted teammates now receive 100 wood, a Common Revolver, and 30 Medium Bullets. When squad members are eliminated they now drop their Reboot Card, which can be collected by other squad members.

It was very clear that Fortnite borrowed this idea from Apex Legends, but that’s not a bad thing. Epic are open to good ideas when they see them, even if another game has done it first. Joining in the conversation are a few FNCS players who feel that this bug might cost them several games where they would end up losing on a major competitive level. The entire community has joined hands together to ask the developers to fix the game at the earliest. Fixed an issue where if a Clinger is attached to a player and they entered a Baller that it wouldn't deal damage. Before Chapter 2 Season 6, Common Pistol's were given to players who have been rebooted alongside with 36 Light Bullets and 100 Wood.

Update v26.00: Added the Deboot Van. They work just like the standard Reboot Van, but with a different design. The model for the Reboot van has been reverted to the Chapters 1 and 2 appearance, though the respawning mechanic remains the same. Upon completion, the reboot van will flash its headlights and honk its horn twice, then display a blue beacon above it. The space above the van will create a rift once for every player that needs to be rebooted. After the respawn process completes, the van will be disabled for approx. 1 minute to recharge; chiming when the van is functional again. Fortnite's respawns are a bit more forgiving. Return from a Reboot Van and you won't be completely empty-handed. You'll reenter the match with 100 health, a Common Pistol with 36 rounds, and 100 wood to let you build. You won't be too formidable right after a respawn, but you'll at least be able to fight if you have to.Fixed a bug where all offscreen enemy footsteps and weapon switches/reloads would be silent when more than 5 players were nearby. Once a teammate has been rebooted, drop them some healing items, materials, and ammunition as soon as possible, especially later on in the game. Make finding some loot for your newly rebooted teammate a priority, as a Common Revolver doesn't go a long way. Pay attention to the Reboot Van if you are in a named location, as it might just save a teammate's life or it might just allow you to cut off a recently rebooted player. This Reboot Card needs to be collected by a teammate within 90 seconds, otherwise it will disappear.
