Description

Alongside plenty of new lore advancing the storyline, this book contains further rules for the Boarding Actions, including unique upgrades for Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, World Eaters, Grey Knights, Astra Militarum, and Orks Boarding Patrols.

This is an interesting move by GW, as the boxes are made specifically for the new game format. We’ll have to see pricing on these, but if they price them right, it could be a decent way to start up a new force and get to playing some boarding action games all in one go.On the other end of the scale are the Iron Hands, whose March of Iron Strike Force teams up two hulking Redemptor Dreadnoughts with 10 Intercessors, a Primaris Techmarine, and Iron Father Feirros.

It’s just a sign of the times, unfortunately, with the GW price increase that came in March of 2022, we do get less for our money. Which is why I do hate comparing the boxes to previous years. prices of stuff go up every year and this one is no exception. These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints. It is odd that our boys in blue are not even included? The Smurf poster-boys have been front-and-centre of pretty much every GW released since the Space Marine was invented!

Tyranids Onslaught Swarm

Some Battleforce boxes are more focused on a certain aspect of an army, while others are more varied. If you look at the Adeptus Custodes box, almost all the value comes from the Custodian Guard, so if you really want a lot of troops, it’s a good buy. However, the battleforces didn’t stop there, as they also released new Space Marine boxes and even an Arks of Omen battleforce box. A brand new Arks of Omen Detachment to use when mustering your army, making roster-building more flexible and intuitive than ever before

The Balefleets of Abaddon the Despoiler surge across the galaxy, and woebetide any who attempt to seize or destroy the Arks of Omen that serve as their flagships. Two of the sets are made for actual boarding actions, while the other box is just more of a normal battleforce for Chaos with plenty (including the new Daemon Prince and older Heldrake model) that you won’t be able to use in boarding actions. New Arks of Omen Box Sets Revealed By GW Launch your own Balefleet in games of Warhammer 40,000 with this boxed set containing 17 plastic Citadel miniatures, led by a fearsome Daemon Prince. Alongside him are a massive Heldrake, a squad of elite Chaos Space Marine Terminators, and two units of mutated Possessed. This force makes a fantastic core around which to build your Chaos Space Marines army, or a powerful addition to an existing force.

As we said, this has a bit of a random assortment of models, but the value is definitely there! This actually rivals some of the better boxes from Christmas, so if you need all the models inside, this is totally worth grabbing, as you basically get two boxes of Possessed for free! It also contains the new Daemon Prince, which is quite pricey to grab on its own, so that’s very nice. USD) ish. Especially with the state of the global economy right now. And with these models coming out of a post-Brexit UK. Here’s the savings and value breakdown for the two Boarding Patrol and Warhammer 40k Arks of Omen Battleforce box sets! This box provides a speedy core for a White Scars army, led into battle by Kor’sarro Khan, armed with the lethal blade Moonfang. Inside you’ll find two squads of fast-moving Outriders, mobile fire support in the form of a pair of Invader ATVs, and a Primaris Chaplain on Bike to lead the charge. You’ll also receive plenty of White Scars Primaris Upgrades to add some extra sons of Jaghatai Khan style. This box provides 10 plastic models with a variety of weapon options, making it an ideal way to start a new White Scars army or add to your existing Space Marines collection.

This is clearly a decent starting point and has some iconic characters, so if you don’t have them and want to try them, this should be a great option for you! Storm of Chogoris Battleforce box The Great Rift has torn the Emperor’s realm in two. Day by day, war upon war, the galaxy careens ever closer to total annihilation. From amidst the growing anarchy rise those who would seize an ashen victory for themselves. The greatest amongst these is Abaddon the Despoiler. Forging an infernal pact with Vashtorr the Arkifane, he has unleashed the mighty Arks of Omen upon the galaxy – and with them, a new era of war. This one is guesswork like usual, with only a few weeks left until Xmas, there aren’t many Saturdays left. Both the 19th and 26th of November. And then the 3rd, 12th and 19th of December.Webmasters will hate you for this and will hate me for recommending it, but this is the process I use and I haven’t missed a product I’ve desperately wanted yet. The Iron Hands also get a box and try to keep it on their theme by bringing in two Redemptors! Just be sure to get even more vehicles to go all in on the fluff as you expand the force. Salamanders Warforged Strike Force New rules to spice up competitive play is always great too! Hopefully, this can help keep the game open to creativity with tons of viable options. Scions of Macragge Battleforce box The various factions of the 41st Millennium are now forced to undertake Boarding Actions against these twisted space hulks, with small, elite forces clashing in their claustrophobic confines. Savings-wise, we’re once again probably looking at last year for reference where we had anything from 30% – 37% in savings for these boxes versus buying the units individually at retail. That’s Nothing to sniff at! it’s a solid saving.
