Description

The JOYO JF-308 Golden Face guitar effect Amp Simulator pedal walks in the big footsteps of the famous British amps with a golden faceplate. It has 4 tube power amp simulations, 20 preset Impulse Responses (Cabinet Simluations) and 11 classic microphone models to choose from. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. None of the mentioned trademarked names has anything to do with Joyo or software contained in the Joyo Cab Box. Please, note that the 6V6 and EL84 pics are imperfect comparisons since they involve "whole" amps (excited from guitar inputs to loudspeaker output) while the IR loaders model only a tube power section.

Please, note that I've done no effort of mic placement with the real amp (and that a Jensen C12N in 8Ohm is slightly more harsh than its 4Ohm counterpart or than two speakers wired together in 4Ohm; this alone could explain most of the small difference between real amp and the Joyo sim ). The Cab box makes everything about recording or performing so much easier and authentic with a massive array of adjustable parameters to achieve the custom guitar set up of your choice. Thanks for the suggestions, really informative link, I'll take those into consideration with my rig. Well, that's why I've bought this thing: to my ears, the onboard cab sims are realistic and natural, without grainy texture and/or harsh high range. Tweak the model parameters, load up to 30 impulse response (IR) files, and then save all your personal presets in up to 128 cab memory slots. If you decide to remove these files or deactivate them, the adverts you see will be like the sound of brass band music in the ears of a heavy metal fan. The simple controls quickly get into your blood, and you can rely on the solid chassis for gigging situations, where you'll also benefit from two durable switches for quick control of most functions. I then tested all my pedals and none of them produce a similar noise, only more or less noise floor. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.

But it is more likely that it will do the more typical thing of 10 Hz increments to a point, then increasing step sizes as it goes up. The JOYO American sound guitar effect pedals are one of the UK's most popular Amp simulators from the JOYO first series of pedals. When the gate cuts off held notes is another bugaboo but needed to not hear the noise that’s needing gated.

In pic 7: how using the onboard EQ of the Joyo allows to "match" partly a capture done with the Nux. It features a 4x12 cabinet simulation, a built-in noise gate and is compatible with PA systems, recording interfaces and guitar amps. Ability connect to the PC through the USB, and use the matching software to edit tones and update firmware, load or delete third party IRs, supports both Windows/Mac OS. The Joyo is conversely a tad more grainy to my ears, although various online demos had suggested me the contrary. For the record, this 2d emulation seems to be realistic when compared to the frequency response of the first one but it actually sounds more bass heavy, as suggested by the bump in the THD curve (lower blue line).

As much as I would like to be able to afford a Strymon Iridium or Walrus ACS1, it's just not in the budget. The Joyo Cab Box features XLR, headphone, MIDI and USB connectivity, so has most bases covered for recording and live scenarios. Level knobs that you can utilize to set the effect tone, select the duration of the reverberation, and determine the effect level respectively. The pic about EL34's is more realistic: the Marshall used for that has been measured from the input of its power section, to its loudspeaker output "heard" in two different ways. There are 128 cab memory slots to save all of your presets, and three configurable post-EQs: guitar, bass and parametric. In addition to speaker emulation the pedal provides power amp simulation which allows you to select tube type as well as volume and gain staging functions. Do you think it would be a good idea to take the amp-in-a-box pedal (like the Oxford, AC Tone, British Sound, etc.
