Two years after the arrival of the first LEGO 71031 Marvel Collectible Minifigures Series, it’s time for LEGO 71039 Marvel Studios Minifigures Series 2.

This means once the second Marvel series releases on 1st September 2023, it'll be the third and final series of the year.

Role-play a fun Mighty Micros battle between Hulk's vehicle featuring big green Hulk fists, and Ultron's vehicle with posable tentacles. The variances between some minifigures are incredibly minute, with milligrams being the difference between some characters, so you’ll need a sensitive scale, and regular kitchen scales might not be up to the task. Marvel fans will no doubt be happy with the selection, but you’ll likely be left thinking if this was the best LEGO Marvel roster for Series 2. Oh and each minifigure comes with these stands and stalks that allow you to pose the minifgiures in dramatic and dynamic styles. What’s super impressive and one of her most remarkable features is her prosthetic leg, which is a brand new mould.

Up next we have a minifigure dedicated to the Disney+ special Werewolf by Night, a short TV special that explored the fantasy horror genre within the MCU. Again, we’re treated to more incredible arm and side leg printing, which I do wish would become the norm with LEGO Marvel minifigures found in regular sets.Now that it’s out of the way, this is a pretty decent licensed Minifigures Series, with some questionable choices with the lineup of characters. The Baby Owl is a nice surprise and it’s great to see LEGO still using the Collectible LEGO Minifigures series to introduce new animal moulds.
