Marcus's sarcastic comments and Iphiginia's smart replies were so funny to read, I couldn't get enough of their witty banter. now that kind of stupidity is irreproachable, yet she is smart enough to understand the ins and out of ancient architecture, she can conjure up an amazing plan to catch a blackmailer, and FOOL THE TON-gaining entrance even into Almacks with status as a "Mistress" Sorry Quick but that is ridiculous. Unfortunately, the suspense plot is contrived with a very obscure and the culprit is obvious with an obscure and incomprehensible motive. There is the bright and intelligent heroine, and the strong and somewhat dour hero - and sparks fly when they come into conflict.

Marcus was wonderful, he had so many good scenes, from their first meeting in the ballroom to the one at the 'Drs', and so many fabulous lines which gave you an insight to him; his sense of humour and desires.
