I'll leave you with a selection of photos I took last September on a trip up Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas, on a surprisingly lovely day. He never climbed the Inaccessible Pinnacle ("In Pinn") on Skye but this was not regarded as a Munro on his original list - being omitted in favour of the lower summit of Sgurr Dearg from which it protrudes. The colour represents the Munro area that it belongs to; each of the 17 Munro areas has its own colour which is identified by a Munro area key at the bottom right hand side of the map.

The Munros are the highest of Scotland's mountains, 282 mountain tops named after the man who first catalogued them, Sir Hugh Munro. These 4 or 5-star reviews represent the opinions of the individuals who posted them and do not reflect the views of Etsy. Please note that due to licensing restrictions, we will contact you to confirm use of imagery before sending the file to you. This is an inspiring map designed with the Munro Bagger in mind aiming to fuel their enthusiasm encouraging them to climb as many as they can!To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Mind you, Hazel Strachan's Munro accomplishments over many years are also just exhausting to think about! In 1923 another Reverend, Ronald Burn, became the second Munroist as well as the first person to climb all the subsidiary Tops. Completed by Jamie Aaron in June 2023, she ran, cycled and kayaked between each of the Munros, covering a total of around 932 miles (1,500 km) on foot and about the same distance by bike.

Etsy’s 100% renewable electricity commitment includes the electricity used by the data centres that host Etsy. As all hill-baggers know, a Munro is a mountain in Scotland with a height over 3000 ft, named after Sir Hugh Munro, the first person to compile a list of the now-infamous hills. Additionally you can record the mountains you have climbed in your own log, including date, time and your notes. I did a bit of post-QGIS processing to add a bit of 'noise' and also to recolour the maps, but the mapping was done in QGIS, like I said. The wallpaper is PVC free and is printed using HP's Latex inks ensuring you get a more environmentally friendly mural compared to one produced with solvent inks.

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.Sir Hugh had been planning to revise his list of Munros, and after his death the SMC took over the job of keeping the list upto date. Based on an early morning departure time (06:00) at a weekend, driving 90 minutes at reasonable speeds, and then taking a 5km buffer around the 90 minute travel isochrone (calculated using the TravelTime plugin in QGIS), I came up with a number that I think looks about right for each of my eight places. The Scratch Off Munro-bagging Print is part of our Collect and Scratch range and shows all of the 283 Munro hill tops including their heights, covered by a scratch-off latex.
