About this deal

Our five senses (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, olfactory and gustatory) are the language of our brain. in a few sessions, make changes in the interactions of couples, families and organizations so that they function in ways that are more satisfying and productive, cure many physical problems, not only most of those recognized as “psychosomatic” but also some that are not – in a few sessions.

You will always get answers to your questions insofar as you have the sensory apparatus to notice the responses. The question I would like you to ask is 'will the part of me responsible for pattern X communicate with me in consciousness? They seem to be intent on producing students who are not totally dependent on them, but those who can be flexible with their behaviour (not textbook addicts) as they work with people to achieve their dreams. Refraiming can be done by being observant of the process it takes for a person to access the information, and anchoring a certain state to a cue, that can be visual, auditory or kinesthetic. The story in the book was about 2 men who were geniuses at misdirection, presupposition and the lofty art of bull__t. But here, they only serve to confuse and otherwise detract from what might have otherwise been an interesting message. Frogs Into Princes" three-part introduction to NLP (short for "Neuro Linguistic Programming"), a form of therapy conceived of in the 1970s.

The way you motivate yourself may have the same structure as jealousy – you make a picture of what you want that feels good and then tell yourself how to make that picture come true. One of the things that I think distinguishes a really exquisite communicator from one who is not, is to be precise about your use of language: use language in a way that gets you what you want. Most methods claim much more than they can deliver, and most theories have little relationship to the methods they describe. I was repelled by some of the tactics employed, but this repulsion pales in significance next to the many interesting and new perspectives which you are presented with. NLP is not a household name as such - whereas, its most famous teacher, for example, is: Tony Robbins, who was trained by co-founder Grinder [pronounced as in "grin", not "grind"]; it also is the scientific foundation of popular TV shows like "Lie to Me", which exemplify how to read subtle "eye accessing-cues" (and other body-language) found throughout Frogs Into Princes.Because the seminar was for therapists, most of the techniques’ applications are discussed in a therapist-patient scenario.

I used it as a comparison tool with some proper Neuroscience and cognitive behavioural psychology methods, and this book reads like a collection of hocus pocus formulas without any scientific backup. I'm intrigued by the idea of representational systems, and I like the authors' constant reminders that "when you do something that doesn't work, do something else" (160) - even if complete flexibility detracts from the viability of NLP as a well-defined therapeutic model. That's a comment about not being creative enough in the application of it, and not having enough sensory experience to accept all the cues that are there [emphasis mine]. Many therapists and other communicators are unsuccessful because they mismatch representational systems. That structure can then be quickly taught to others to give them the foundation for that same ability. Not being able to see the demonstrations was a hindrance, but I still learned enough for the book to be worthwhile and to help me see where I need to go next. The extreme basics of the technique involves touching someone while getting him or her to elicit specific emotions. Matching a person’s representational system is an effective, underused technique to migitate conflict. The section mostly discusses anchoring in the context of overcoming fear in therapy, but it can be easily used in relationships, healing painful memories, negotiations, sales, leadership, and seduction.

The unconscious regulates all the bodily functions for survival, choice, pain, pleasure, etc; making direct contact with the most powerful part of a person, I can create change / influence in the most effective manner. By using the Web site, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. I have found it to be one of the greatest techniques to overcome fear and build unstoppable confidence for myself and others I’ve helped. Once you have found effective ways to get the secondary gain then you anchor something else to take the place of the alcohol or drug stimulus. The hope is that once you've determined which "representational system" a person uses, you can then employ this system to better communicate with them.I am probably a little partial because I truly appreciate the author of this book and what he had done on so many levels.
