The distillery that produces mezcal verde is owned by a local family who have been producing mezcal for over 100 years. the experience starts here - each batch features a unique label designed by a different living mexican artist, our way of supporting local creatives in mezcal-producing regions. Twice a year we commission artists to create artworks based on a theme that represents the values of our brand. It is another collaboration aimed at supporting the local culture of the mezcal-producing regions – be it farmers, distillers or artists. Mezcal Verde dedicated craft distillery opened in the Oaxacan village of Tlacolula in 2017 and is capable of producing 7,000l of batch-distilled mezcal a year. The flavour itself is sweet with muscovado sugar notes and tropical pineapple keeps things light alongside peppery black spice and just a hint of oak. Mezcal Verde was created by created by Mezcalero Doroteo Garcia from Mezcal Amaras and extends beyond spirit production.Mezcal Amores' vision focuses on evolving, growing and adapting through the promotion of an artisanal mezcal supply chain, as well as on supporting an environmental model aimed at minimal impact and committed to continual innovation. Verde Momento is made with 8 year old agave Espadin by mezcalero Doroteo Garcia in Tlacolula, Oaxaca. This bottling serves up notes of smoked white peach, grassy agave, pineapple, lime, soft wood smoke, peppery smoke, coriander and cinnamon spice.
