Moon Knight is LEGO Minifigures at its finest, and it’s not hyperbolic to call this one of the most detailed LEGO minifigures and something for fans to cherish. He’s absolutely going to be the chase minifigure in Marvel Series 2. Next, we have the long-awaited re-release of She-Hulk minifigure, based on her Disney+ series version where Tatiana Maslany plays the Hulk’s lawyer cousin, Jen Walters. The print quality on her minifigure is on the same level as Moon Knight, with LEGO utilising nearly every single available surface.

Kang might’ve been cut due to Jonathon Major’s legal troubles and his uncertain future with the MCU, but the character selection is by far the weakest here. Agatha’s minifigure has detailed printing across her torso and skirt piece, with the fabric detail extending quite seamlessly. She comes with a purple fabric cape, and two trans-purple power blasts And here’s Logan’s face and hair as an alternative to the Wolverine mask. The sideburns are great and I also kinda dig the goggle look which whites out Wolverine’s eyes when he has his mask on.Also slightly miffed they didn’t include a tile for the photo frame so we could re-create the Sad Wolverine meme!

Her boot design in particular is excellent and combined with dual-moulded legs showcases a big step up in minifigure printing accuracy as the lines just extend over seamlessly from the front to side. Now that it’s out of the way, this is a pretty decent licensed Minifigures Series, with some questionable choices with the lineup of characters. It’s always a difficult balancing game when the IP holder, in this case, Marvel usually dictates what characters get included, and when many of the planned 2023 releases have been delayed like What If.. and Agatha: Coven of Chaos, it does mean that you’re left with some characters that feel out of place. Here’s a comparison with the 2017 She-Hulk. The printing and design is much-improved, but I do kinda miss the simplicity of the older She-Hulk costume which is more comic-accurate. First up we have Agatha Harkness, the primary antagonist of Wandavision and also the upcoming Agatha: Coven of Chaos series which will premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2024. LEGO Marvel Minifigures Series 2 will have the unfortunate honour of being completely overshadowed by the transition from blind bags to blind boxes, effectively eliminating a tradition that has been in place since 2010. Wolverine has a brand new look, with a new mask that has more dramatic “ears” and I also really like Logan’s hairy forearms. The dual-moulded legs and generous leg printing also gives the Wolverine minifigure bonus style points.

Like other characters in this series, we’re treated to a highly detailed minifigure and I especially like the fur detailing throughout his body, with printing across his arms, legs and the side of his legs. Up next we have Goliath, which I’m guessing is from the coming Marvel What If…? Season 2, as this is a completely new suit, which riffs off the Ant-Man design. And last but not least, we have Wolverine, the poster-child of the X-Men. this is one of Logan’s best minifigure variants, with yellow and blue on full display here, as well as the short blue sleeves. That said, the new She-Hulk is a superb LEGO minifigure and one of the standouts of Series 2. I imagine she’ll be a fairly popular minifigure from this series. There are some bright spots, such as the high level of printing quality, and minifigure design which seems to have been elevated, and of course the sensational Moon Knight, which might be one of the finest LEGO minifigures that LEGO have ever made. Unfortunately the spray job on Wolverine’s mask isn’t the greatest and there are splotches near the edges. What do you think of the LEGO Marvel Series 2? Will you be getting an entire set/box or hoping you get the minifigures you want by buying random boxes? If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll know that my positition on this has been clear, I do not support the switch to pure blind boxes, as it encourages gambling, and the uncertainty of what you will get, something that most people can’t afford to do. LEGO could’ve easily included some hidden code or symbol on each box to identify what’s inside, but their unwillingness to do so just reeks of not listening to longtime fans and punishing Minifigure fans.

Next we have a familiar face, Ororo Munroe aka Storm, the second in command of the X-Men. A mutant with the ability to manipulate the weather, she’s considered one of the most powerful mutants alive.

Details

In the preliminary version, his headpiece and hairpiece were the same as Mutt Williams' from Indiana Jones. Next up we have Echo, aka Maya Lopez, who featured in Hawkeye and will also have her own series on Disney+ in November 2023. Echo is one of the most impressive minifigures in this series with incredible detailing across her entire body. Marvel fans will love these 12 popular characters: Agatha Harkness, Kate Bishop, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Mr. Knight, She-Hulk, The Werewolf, Goliath, Storm, Beast, Wolverine and Echo. Every mystery bag contains 1 minifigure with at least 1 accessory. Set contains 36 mystery bags. Joining Moon Knight is Mr. Knight, another one of Marc Spector’s alter-egos. Eschewing Egyptian mummy garb for a more distinguished 3-piece suit, Mr. Knight is a more cerebral and levelled alter-egos and is dressed accordingly with a white mask, and sharp suit, all in monochrome white.
