Elle Kennedy has somehow made these difficult years something we want to continue experiencing through her characters. They are not perfect but damn they are fun. I know the next installment will bring even more challenges to the forefront and I can't wait to see how Ms. Kennedy handles it.

In The Score we're dealing with a friends-with-benefits-that-fall-in-love situation (which explains the graphic-and sometimes extravagant-sex scenes) between Allie, a girl who just broke up with her longterm boyfriend, and the infamous man-slut/ horndog/ sex addict Dean. There is chase, tention, sneaking out and eventually emotions, heartbreak and problems that will affect their relationship, but Dean imprinted on Allie and he will not let her go. Sounds like a fun ride, right? Hannah and Garrett's part was the one I was looking forward the most, because they are my babies. So I was bummed to see how sad they were (Hannah with never finding the right moment to tell Garrett about the pregnancy and Garrett with having to deal with his abusive father all the time). Dean takes all of this in and actually is understanding...yet also does his "Dean" thing of suggesting he help her through it by having sex with him. Allie looks at him as if he has 3 heads... She would never be with him...she is a relationship gal... not into casual sex... never worked for her...and Dean has banged half of Briar College and the other half is just waiting to be chosen... oh, no... not happening. Unfortunately, Allie was unimpressed. She knows Dean's reputation and she doesn't want to be just another notch on her bedpost. She knows who she is: a girl who is prefers relationship over casual sex. And Dean is the epitome of casual. Besides, Allie just broke up with her on-and-off boyfriend of three years. But Dean was persistent and he managed to convince Allie to ditch her no casual sex rule in favor of some hot rebound sexy times.Another winner from Elle Kennedy for me! She definitely knows how to deliver a well written, sexy and sweet new adult romance that's low on the angst and high on the humor with a dash of touching moments. Yes, definitely recommended if you're looking for a light easy read.

I loved the writing. The humour, the dialogue, the banter, POVs, it was all amazing. That Skype joke? Excellent! You know when you read the first book in a series and you love it so much that you don't think anything can top it, but then you read the second and you love it just as much? So then you know that the chances of that continue to hold for the 3rd book are slim, right? In my experience, it's tough to keep that sort of momentum going...unless, of course, you're Elle Kennedy. Because not only was The Score absolutely fantastic, but it turned out to be my favorite in the series. And considering how much I loved the previous two books, that's saying something. After her latest heartbreak, Allie Hayes decides to make a personal pledge to avoid making the same mistakes again. Allie will do anything and everything to avoid getting her heart involved. Setting out to concentrate on making her dreams a reality she has no interest when the possibility of a one night stand with the notorious man whore, Dean Di - Laurentis becomes a possibility. But after one drink too many and with an itch to scratch, Allie lets her hair down for just one night. But after getting just a little taste of the sassy blonde Dean finds himself wanting more. And so begins the cat and mouse chase of a lifetime ... This hero wants Allie all for himself.Sure you are. Seriously, just find yourself a rebound.” Dean whips up his arm. “I volunteer as tribute.” elle kennedy did her characters so dirty like… does she even know her characters because this was not them. One of the best parts about this book is that even with some of the more serious things going on in Logan’s life, it still made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. It was straight up funny! this definitely would’ve been a 5 star if dean wasnt so immature at the end. elle kennedy really had to just take the same issue in ”the score” where he just went into this hole of idk tbh BUT ITS ANNOYING As for Logan, let's just say my lust love for Logan never wavered. Well it may have shaken slightly at one point but boy did he make up for it.
