If you make a non-forcing suit opening -- such as 1♠or a weak 2 ♥-- and your partnership agreement is that responder can change suit without that response being forcing, then you will need to alert that response (although there are a few exceptions). For example, myagreement with partner is that 2 ♦:2 ♥is pass-or-correct. From 1st August onwards we will have to alert that non-forcing response. The Club Championship is a Pairs League which can only be won by members. But guests and visitors may participate in any Club Championship evening. He said he believed that the Level 4 designation (which the Club currently uses) could lead to the membership facing too many complicated systems, and that the Club should adopt Level 3. He said that Level 3 is basically the same as the "novice" Level 2, but with the 2 ♦ Multi also permitted. See https://www.ebu.co.uk/documents/laws-and-ethics/blue-book/blue-book-2019.pdf for a full description of the various levels. The commmittee voted unanimously to adopt Level 3 for the Club for the time being.

Regardless of all the online alternatives—which are fine in themselves and really quite enjoyable—there is no substitute for playing together in person at the Club.' <Ⓜ#16> As home tests are available for free to everybody, there is no reason why everyone can't come in with proof of their negative result (within 48 hours of arriving).' <Ⓜ#25> Minutes of the Meeting of the Claygate Bridge Club Committee held at 18.00 on the 6th of June 2022 at Elm Road Minutes of the Meeting of the Claygate Bridge Club Committee held at 18.15 on the 10th of October 2023 at Elm Road

members said they would come to a club party, and of that number, 14 volunteered to help. The committee therefore decided to hold a party on 13th December 2021 on the assumption that about 30 would attend. 21-4Ⓐ6 GW to ask the Day Centre Manager for access on the day at 1830. 21-4Ⓐ7 GW to buy a small gift for the caretaker. 21-4Ⓐ8 GW to buy wine and soft drinks and borrow glasses, largely from Majestic. 21-4Ⓐ9 RA to buy the food, probably from Waitrose or M&S. 21-4Ⓐ10 RA to provide table coverings for the party. 21-4Ⓐ11 RA to buy disposable cutlery, plates etc. 10. Any Other Business GW expressed his view that the Club was trundling along nicely apart from the usual problems — i.e. scoring system, number of scorers, number of directors etc. 5. Treasurer's Report I would agree with proceeding cautiously and seeing how things work out for clubs that do open as soon as they can! ' <Ⓜ#23> The Day Centre has plenty of windows—although it may be necessary to err on the side of cryogenesis to begin with!' <Ⓜ#16>Certainly, it would seem sensible to ask only those who’ve been vaccinated to attend but I imagine that almost all of the membership will have done that. <Ⓜ#9> We will increase the number of league competitions to match the changes in the platforms we play on, and have handicap leagues for all of them.
